Protected or tangled?

When parents think they are protecting their kids, it can be overprotective and interfere in their direction of paths (growth). No one knows what it brings at the end.

I covered the plant's roots with foil and squeeze it to make a round shape. after 3 days, the roots seem tangled and hard, and may be rotten inside as growing up. I find overly protective parents shape a certain direction of their children's growth, it may makes them dependent and changes their personality. Adults often may neglect when they are overly protecting their children, whether it is for their sake or their children's sake.
